Things to remember while booking jungle resort

If there is a guaranteed way to experience adventure and wildlife in a natural setting, it is by staying at a jungle resort. There are many jungle resorts in Karnataka which are perfect for a weekend getaway. These jungle resorts aim to provide you the best of outdoor experiences combined with modern conveniences. To facilitate outdoor play, most resorts have volleyball, badminton and basketball courts. They also provide you a variety of adventure sports options ranging from trekking, camping, forest safaris, zip line etc. They have clean rooms with functional bathroom but at times, do not have air conditioning inside the room. But as the resort shall be in the midst of or adjacent to a forest reserve area, the air around the resort remains cool and pleasant even during summer months.

The resorts have restaurants that serve all meals of the day, generally offering a choice of cuisine. They also accept special food requests for children and senior citizen guests. If you are travelling with children, it is important to check beforehand the age permitted for forest safari and other adventure sports. Travel time to the resort has to be mindful of the forest terrain en route and in certain reserve areas, travel after sunset is not permitted. If you are travelling as part of a corporate off-site programme for employees, some resorts also provide conference halls with internet connectivity, which can be used for indoor team building activities.

Before booking into jungle resorts, be aware of best seasons to visit to ensure you gain the maximum satisfaction from your stay. Some jungle reserve areas are open all year round, however some resorts close during monsoons or inform beforehand of fewer animal sightings during forest safaris in non- peak seasons. If you are visiting Nagarhole National Park, King’s Sanctuary is a good option to consider for your jungle vacation next time.

This is a lovely location, just on the perimeter of the conservation area literally walking distance! The security is obviously very good. The grounds are well kept and modest with beautiful flowers. The staff are very welcoming and professional, we received a good brief of the Hotel and how to get the most out of our stay.

“Great retreat for a family safari! “Mr Ram Jethmalani”
